We’re Here to Help

We decided to open New Leaf Autism & ABA after spending more than a decade in the field of Developmental Disabilities and Autism Therapy.  It was important to us to live the value of Family First, not only in our own lives, but also to demonstrably live that value in our professional lives.  Each child that New Leaf supports becomes like family to us, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.  When we talk about doing things “in the best interest of the child” we strive to put that into practice every day, every session.

Having been in this field for decades, we have seen first-hand, the lack of services and supports for the children that we have supported as they grow into young adults and reach the age of 18.  Autism does not end at 18, nor does it end when these young adults graduate high school.  We are actively working to fill this gap in services, by planning for day services and respite to families with adult children who need support.

We are dedicated and committed to continually developing innovative services for individuals of all ages in our community. We ensure that from the time you tour our facility, you will be treated with compassion, support and a team who is dedicated to helping improve your life and that of your child.

What is your current intake process?

We are currently accepting new clients to our ABA program.

The New Leaf intake process is run over 3-days, 2-hours a day, for a total of 6 hours.   Your child’s current skill repertoire is assessed, and any maladaptive behaviours are noted for future analysis.

Prior to intake, we request background information and input from parents on goals for their child and do our best to assess these during our intake process.

We are currently accepting new clients and booking intake assessments!

Once the intake assessment has been completed, families will receive an intake report detailing the results, typically within 2-3 weeks. At that time, we are ready to schedule sessions and prepare to start ABA!

At this time, we can typically start working with a new family within 6 weeks of the initial booking of the assessment.

Our ABA sessions run 6 days a week, from Monday – Friday starting at 9am, and going until 6:30pm. Our Saturday hours are 9am – 3pm.

We also offer before and after session respite for those families that require it!
